ITAD

Regulated under the WEEE Directive for data protection, large businesses are required to responsibly recycle all IT systems and assets on a regular basis. ITAD Works is a leading ICT Recycling company for organisations operating in the insurance, retail, and banking industries. From system retrieval all the way to re-entry, ITAD completes the de-manufacturing and IT recycling life cycle for organisations.

The Challenge

ITAD’s internal process management tool is used to manage customers, log events, and streamline business workflows. The application was developed in .NET by a third party vendor. Dissatisfied with delivery, response times, and overall functionality provided,

ITAD sought a new technology partner that would manage the application, delivering on requests and functionality within deadlines. In addition, ITAD wanted to integrate the application with AIRCLIC - a windows-operated handheld device that allows event logs to be taken on the go.

The Analysis

To develop their ideal platform, ITAD handed the task of application maintenance to Icreon. To deliver the desired functionality, Icreon would need to add specialty features like form-based approval workflows, a customer-facing

portal, and new reporting capabilities. To streamline the operations even further, Icreon would integrate the application with AIRCLIC – a handheld device used to scan items for quicker information input.

Development
Developing atop the existing .NET application, Icreon implemented features to improve ITAD’s overall workflow and operations. New functions included form-based stage
approval, a beautiful new customer facing portal that allows users to set up appointments and receive quotes, and integration with AIRCLIC. Icreon continues to provide maintenance and support for the application.
